Amazing Lasagna Pizza 

An amazing lasagna pizza recipe! Instead of just eating lasagna by itself we added it onto pizza it will leave you coming back for more and even more!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon yeast

  • 1 cup warm water

  • ½ teaspoon sugar

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 ½ – 3 cups flour

  • 2 tablespoons butter, optional

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder, optional

  • 500g mince

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

  • 1-2 cups pizza sauce

  • ½ cup mascarpone, ricotta, cottage, or cream cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • cup shredded parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 230°C.

  2. In a large bowl, or bowl of stand mixer, stir the yeast and sugar into the warm water until completely dissolved. Allow mixture to sit and proof for 10 minutes, until foamy.

  3. Add the salt and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Begin adding the flour ½ cup at a time, stirring (with a large spoon or hook attachment if using stand mixer) after each addition.

  4. When the dough has pulled away from the sides of the bowl and is no longer sticky, knead the dough for 3 minutes in the bowl or on a well floured surface. You can also knead with the dough hook attachment on medium speed for 3 minutes.

  5. Roll or pat the dough out on a well-floured surface, into a large circle about ¼ – ½ inch thick, and place on oiled pizza pan.

  6. Bake crust for 5 minutes.

  7. Optional: In a small bowl, microwave the butter and garlic. Remove pizza from oven and brush with the garlic butter, place pizza under broiler for 1-2 minutes, until crust is golden brown.

  8. Cook the sausage, crumbling as you go along with the garlic, oregano, and basil until no longer pink. Drain any grease and set aside.

  9. Remove crust from oven and top evenly with the sauce, then dollop on the mascarpone, ricotta, cottage, or cream cheese depending on preference. Top evenly with shredded mozzarella, parmesan, and cooked sausage.

  10. Bake for 10 minutes until cheese is melted. Then serve immediately.
