Hawaiian Loaded Hotdogs 

These vibrant and fresh hotdogs not only look great but taste amazing! A perfect treat to have with friends or a yummy meal.

Ingredients

  • 6 hot dog rolls

  • 6 chicken sausages (or beef)

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 3 tbsp sweet chilli sauce

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander or parsley

  • 1 cup of fresh pineapple, finely diced

  • ½ red onion, finely diced

  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

  • 1 avocado, thinly sliced

  • 1 red capsicum, finely diced

  • Optional – BBQ or tomato sauce

Directions

  1. Start by mixing the mayonnaise, lime juice, coriander, salt and pepper in a bowl, then set aside.

  2. Prepare the red onion, pineapple, avocado, capsicum, and cheese and set aside.

  3. Cook your sausages either on a barbecue or in a pan until cooked all the way through, this usually takes around 10 minutes.

  4. Prepare your buns as the sausages are cooking, slice each but down the middle, but do not cut all the way through. Spread some of the mayonnaise mixture on each side of the buns then lay 2 slices of avocado on one side. Sprinkle some cheese into the bun then place a cooked sausage in each hotdog.

  5. Load your hot dog up with a sprinkle of pineapple, red onion, and capsicum then top with a drizzle of the mayonnaise or a sauce of your choice.
