Pirate Plunderbars

This delightful chocolate and rice bubbles slice, decorated with marshmallows and sprinkles is a treasure trove of flavours!

Ingredients

  • 150g golden syrup

  • 175g peanut butter

  • 5 cups rice bubbles

    For the topping

  • 200g milk chocolate

  • 25g unsalted butter

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

  • 3 tbsp coloured sprinkles

Directions

  1. Line an 8inch/20cm square baking tray with baking paper.

  2. Put the syrup and peanut butter in a saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring often until you have a smooth sauce. Fold in the rice bubbles, making sure all the cereal is coated with the sauce. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, press mixture with the back of a spoon until firm. Put into fridge to set.

  3. Place a small saucepan of water over medium heat. Break the chocolate into small pieces and place into a heat resistant bowl with the butter. Set the bowl over the hot water, making sure the water isn’t in contact with the bowl. Once chocolate has melted, allow to cool slightly.

  4. Pour the chocolate over the rice cereal then arrange the mini marshmallows and sprinkles on top. Allow slice to set in the fridge before slicing up and serving!
